An industry leader in the industrial weighing equipment industry is searching for a highly motivated and skilled Fleet Controller

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fleet Controller to oversee the logistics and maintenance of our equipment and fleet. The Fleet Controller will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is properly maintained, functioning efficiently, and ready for deployment when needed. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in fleet management, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily monitoring of fleet operations by utilizing tracking systems and cameras
  • Fuel supply management
  • Process fleet costing
  • Stay up to date and compile reports on fleet (i.e. fuel usage, vehicle costs)
  • Maintain tracking system in line with operational needs
  • Coordinate the scheduling of repairs and servicing of fleet and equipment
  • Manage compliance with road regulations and licensing 
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and serviced on a regular basis
  • Monitor equipment usage and performance to identify areas of improvement
  • Manage fleet inventory
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies (i.e. equipment certifications)
  • Assist with training and onboarding of new employees on equipment operation and maintenance
  • Maintain driver certification, licensing and accreditation
  • Mitigate all risks to minimize lost time
  • Manage on route mechanical and tyre breakdowns to minimize disruptions and maintain operational continuity

Qualifications:
  • Qualification in Logistics, Fleet Control or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in fleet management or related field
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and fleet management software
  • Knowledge of industrial weighing equipment and maintenance procedures
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
