About the Role
We are urgently seeking a Project Engineer to support the Commissioning Manager in commissioning activities for our industrial water treatment plant in Olifantsfontein, Centurion.
The resource will assist with the preparation, refinement of commissioning documentation across a wide range of equipment types, ensuring accurate recording with typical C1 – C4 commissioning principles.

Key Responsibilities
- Refine commissioning documentation for various plant equipment, including pumps, motors, mixers, blowers, tanks, screens, actuators, valves, and instrumentation.
- Support and facilitate the commissioning process for mechanical and EC&I systems.
- Collaborate with operational and maintenance teams available on site to ensure smooth execution.
- Ensure all commissioning details are recorded accurately, relevant, and tailored to equipment type and project requirements.
Required Skills & Attributes
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on-site.
- Familiar with C1 – C4 commissioning stages.
- Medically fit to work on a construction site.
- Strong technical and engineering knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – this will be assessed.
- Ability to plan, manage, and coordinate complex projects.
- Methodical problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and deliver under pressure.
Qualifications & Experience
- Mechanical or electrical engineering degree – non negotiable.
- Experience in commissioning activities within water treatment plants or industrial plants is crucial.

The ideal candidate is a disciplined, solution-focused site engineer, with special detailed attention to C1 – C4 commissioning stages of an industrial waste water plant.
