The ideal candidate will assist the senior bookkeeper in maintaining accurate financial records for our company. Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Finance Support
- Process daily transactions in Xero (bank, creditors, and journals)
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Assist with creditor reconciliations and follow-ups
- Load and maintain supplier details on the system
- Assist with customer invoicing and sending statements
- Support month-end processes and management accounts preparation
- Assist with processing supplier invoices in Cin7/Dear
- Ensure accurate capturing of inventory-related transactions
- Support with resolving system discrepancies between platforms
- Maintain proper filing and document management systems
- Assist with credit applications (customers & suppliers)
- Ensure all supporting documents are up to date and accessible
- Liaise with internal departments for required information
- Assist in ensuring all documentation is ready for auditors
- Follow up to ensure tax submissions (VAT, PAYE, etc.) are completed by auditors
- Maintain records for insurance and asset tracking
Minimum requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent in Accounting or Bookkeeping is required
- 2-4 years experience in a similar role
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software (Xero)
- Experience with Cin7 or Dear Inventory will be advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
