Agreenco Environmental Projects (Pty) Ltd. is seeking a results-driven and experienced Regional Operations Manager. In this role, the Regional Operations Manager will support the Business Unit Manager in advancing operational excellence, overseeing project delivery, and driving regional growth. Key responsibilities include ensuring efficient service delivery, supporting business development initiatives, maintaining HSEQ standards, and contributing to strategic reporting and regional performance in line with Agreenco’s values and
objectives. The Regional Operations Manager will play a central role in leading and motivating the operations team to consistently deliver the highest professional standards of service to Agreenco’s clients in the mining, industrial, and construction sectors.
This position calls for a dedicated, technically skilled leader who shares Agreenco’s values and is committed to driving regional growth through a strong market understanding.

Area: KBU: Mpumalanga Coalfields & Kwa-Zulu Natal
Position Starting Date: 5 January 2026

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Business Development: Identifying new market opportunities, building strong relationships, and implementing strategies to drive growth and profitability within the region, while supporting the Business Unit Manager in these initiatives.
  • Financial Management and sustainable business growth: Overseeing project budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation to ensure profitability while promoting long-term, environmentally and socially responsible practices within the region.
  • HR management, administration and employee development: Ensure timely and accurate reporting to customers, with all reports reviewed, approved, and delivered by the agreed deadlines, monitored through a monthly reporting checklist. Recruit, train, and support employees to enhance performance and foster a positive work environment that contributes to the region’s overall success.
  • Regional Operations and Project Management: Support the Business Unit Manager by coordinating and optimizing operational processes, and overseeing project execution to ensure efficiency, quality, and alignment with strategic objectives across the region.
  • HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality) implementation and compliance: Support the Business Unit Manager and SHEQ Manager in ensuring adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards to protect employees, assets, customers, and the environment, while promoting a culture of safety and excellence across the region.
  • Finances: Support aligns tactical plans for the unit to achieve revenue and profit targets.
  • Risk and HSEQ: Ensure compliance and adherence to policies and procedures to limit and reduce the risk and liability of the company and its people.

THE IDEAL INCUMBENT OF THE POSITION WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING PROFILE:
  • Relevant experience in business and practical operations management of more than 10 years in either the mining, industrial or construction services industries.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or demonstrable experience in Business Management and or Operations Management preferably in the mining, industrial and construction field.
  • This position requires the incumbent to accept and sign legal appointments under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA), as applicable. These appointments are subject to periodic review and updates to align with operational and legislative requirements.
  • Demonstratable knowledge of mining and industrial safety systems and knowledge of quality standards.
  • Strong business acumen, maturity, and orientation for business/project success.
  • Strong collaboration and team leadership skills.
  • Demonstrable ability to plan, implement and follow through.
  • Demonstrable initiative and passion for the sustainability and environmental market.
  • Ability to establish strong networks and interpersonal rapport.
  • Deep sense of responsibility, accountability and a disciplined work culture, well developed self-awareness, self-confidence and self-purpose, well-developed integration, conflict management and diversity skills.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
